I created this work with a base of poured acrylic and paper collage. I added painted acrylic details.  This work represents my heart sickness over the state of our country and the pervasive sadness over the effect of politics on our lives and the lives of marginalized people.  I don't usually paint anything political or anything that expresses my emotional state but when I found that current events were effecting me so completely I had to express that in my art.
